Marstal's IPA
£5.75 per 500 ml Bottle.

The story behind the beer
This India Pale Ale is traditionally brewed with water, pale Ale barley malt, dry roasted wheat, hops and brewer's yeast. The result is a strong, aromatic, extra-hopped and beautiful golden beer. The IPA is a classic sailor's beer, with an extra addition of the natural conserving element of hops so that the beer could keep though the long sea journey around the Cape all the way to India, when it was a British colony. The joke is of course that the beer was so good that it never made it off the island, and stayed to become a typical English pub beer.
