Plate styled in bone china porcelain with a single circle. Brunch board styled in moulded bamboo fibres, with a hole for an egg, or use the small bowl inclucded for dips.

A single concentric circle divides the plate into sections on which the meal can be arranged and enjoyed without mixing.

Moulded Bamboo Fibres
EGO has established an environment-friendly production in which bamboo fibre is moulded and turned into modern designer products.

"The unique thing about EGO's innovation is that it uses bamboo in a new and different way. The result is a smart collection with attractive lines and shapes true to the natural colour of the material. In addition thought has been given to the environment in that the products are 100% biodegradable after only eight to ten months," states the Award Committee in its nomination of EGO product for the Formland Design Award.

EGO Bamboo collection was designed by Steffen Schmelling who purposefully pursued an environment-friendly production as a replacement for melamine or plastic. He found the answer in bamboo fibre, which contains a natural binder.
